I have successfully repotted and trimmed my long and lanky lemon tree that I grew from seed.
I took the top part off, dipped it in rooting hormone and planted it in the same kind of potting soil I used for the original tree. I also enclosed the cutting and pot in a large transparent bag and mist it daily. The leaves have drooped significantly. Is this normal. Will they spring back up? The cutting get a lot of indirect sunlight (in the window and under a grow light). Am I taking care of it properly?
Thanks Millet. One more question: Should I leave the bigger, hardier leaves alone and trim off the wilted ones? Should I trim off the top, which has 2 new very wilted leaves?

Tom I would select the two best leaves. Or if you wish to follow Steve's method of four leaves that are cut in half, still choose the best leaves. (Four leaves cut in half is pretty much the same surface area as two leaves not cut in half.) - Millet
Thank you, guys! I left 2 big, healthy leaves on the cutting, and took off the new, wilted growth on top... a couple days ago. The cutting appears to be thriving so far
