I have 3 to 4 trifoliate sprouts on both of my satsumas-- one of them has the daisy bud that is growing, but most of the others have been marcotted. My question is how long will it take to get enough roots to support the cutting? I'm sure that it is somewhat temperature related, but it has been above 70 everyday now and has been into the 80's some.

about three weeks of that temperature would have plenty of roots if moisture in the bag is perfect.

Thanks Joe-- That means I should have rootstock ready to graft this summer-- these sprouts are already near pencil size.

I opened the cup to check the roots in one of the older marcotted sprouts-- there is a thick white ring above the point where the bark was removed. The ring sticks out almost 1/4 inch all the way around. Clearly a callous has formed, but I would guess that it needs to start turning into roots before it is cut--correct?
