Is there a cultivar of extra large Tahiti limes? My wife brought some home the other day that were as large as mandarins.

Tahiti, like most lemons, is commonly picked while still quite immature, since we're not interested in sweetness nor good color. But left to size up on the tree, they can become quite large, especially on young, vigorous trees -- maybe twice the size of a common grocery store lime, or even a bit larger.

My wife got these at the pig, the largest I've seen. I need to find some budwood for these.

Laaz, our Bearss limes can get really big out here. I usually leave mine on the tree until they start to turn yellow. They often get as big as my fist. The Bearss lime trees here tend to have variable sized fruits, some smaller, and some really big. Reminds me of the variability with Meyers lemons - round and orange like, to pointy lemon-like all on the same tree.
