If you would write that in europe, you would be all in jail ... Smile

Unfortunately you need a licence and pay a lot to produce brandy.

In jail for what? making your own liquor?

It is not true, you can make your own brandy in Europe, at least in my country, but you have to bring your raw material (fermented fruits for example) into certified distillery. And pay tax, depending on how much pure alcohol is in final product. I prefer pears, but most popular in my country is hard drink destilled from fermented plums. Final product has usually aprox. 52 % of alcohol.
This fall, I bring 400 liters of fermented pears to the local destillery and come back home with 25 litres of 52% strong hard drink with pear flavor. Wink

Yes, I said you need a licence to distill ...

You can pay some one to destill for you, but you must be a farmer with own fruits and there is a limit, for that is only for own use and you must pay a high tax ...

I live in the city and cannot do that at all ...

The problem with moonshine is that I have cane and I think that makes rum. Eather way I am sure it would be more profitable than syrup. I couldn't translate the lemoncin but it looks good.

In short, cut the lemon rind into thin strips. Put them in to the pot of water and boil them for 5 minutes. Get them out of water, change new water and boil them again. repeat this procedure 3 times. On 10 dkg of rind goes 1 dl of water and 10 dkg of sugar. Put boiled rind on to the paper and let them dry for 12 hours or until they get firm. keep them in glass containers, pots.
