Here are two of my babies today..
The fingerlime was not as tall as the Satsuma yesterday when I brought them in.. They are both doing great.. just the finger lime seems to be really taking off!!

those are nice looking! that Finger lime plant is unusual looking! the fruits look like sausages more than fingers to me. Have you ever eaten the fruits yourself?

Patty,
I use home made mix soil.. Regular potting soil, cactus mix.. Orchid Mix and Perilite.. Can't tell you exact measurements.. other than.. one large bag potting soil.. one or two small bags orchid mix.. 4 small bags cactus Mix.. and one medium bag Perilite..
Fert I use.. Miracle grow for Azalea/ Rhody.. Epsom Salt.. and that has been it.. I think it was the temps in the upper 80s lower 90s that got it going..
I put the stick in the pot with it.. but I'm not real sure how to "attach" it.. just kinda there right now.. Hopefully that will be enough till the branch hardens up and it can stay upright on it's own..
The pot is 8" I believe..
I did use STEM when I first transplanted all the trees.. aside from that.. water when needed and lots and lots of sun and artificial light when needed..
Garnet,
I have never tasted them.. I looked at the fruit on different web sites and had thought about it.. But it was seeing Stan with a baby one on that gardening show that sold me on it..
I love the delicate small leaves.. looks kinda wispy.. then ya get closer and find out every leaf has a thorn!! I LOVE IT!!! and am so glad Stan showed one on that show.. I had been considering "novelty" citrus fruit tree, But almost passed on the idea... Can't wait for the fruit!! you should see the looks I get when describing the "caviar" looking inside.. I'm sure the looks will be even better when I have fruit to share..

ohhh maaaannnnn!!
OH WELL!! it is still an awesome looking plant!!! wonder if it would be possible to cross it with something nice and sweet?? start my own new type of finger lime.. hehehe..
Well.. I was sold on the looks.. think I still woulda bought it if I had known.. I just love the looks....
Oh.. since bringing it back inside.. it has slowed back it's growth.. Still not sure if it was the light or the heat or both that caused the growth boom.. maybe it will have another growth spurt next time it goes out..
