I have been watching for CLM pests since the warm weather has come to South Texas. I have employed a systemic pesticide which I hope is effective. I would like for any Citriholics in Texas, Louisianna, and Arkansas to establish an `alert system`if you notice any evidence of CLM, so that we can quickly go to a foliar oil spray or soapy water spray.
I know these critter are not deadly to citrus, but they sure spoil the natural beauty of citrus. I`m on Alert!!

You will see them around the second flush, CLM do not harm the first flush.

I've seen them emerge as late as July 4 here in SE Texas.

Billy, I don't think the soapy water will help. The oil does not actually kill them, it just deters the adults from laying eggs on the oily leaves and stems. The only other thing I have found that works to some degree is spinosad and it will kill some of the larvae in the leaves as well as adult moths.
