Lots of great citrus available and you can always go to Caldwell's Nursery for a look at the great citrus and other plants he has in stock.

Yadda out.

My wife is in Houston on a business trip. I wonder if I can convince her bring home a blood orange tree on her lap on the plane. Wish I could be there.

Thanks Yadda! Scott out.

I don't have any information on the Darlene Satsuma. I can tell you that there are a lot of growers in this area including a gentleman south of Houston in Lake Jackson that saved a lot of the cultivars from the Brownsville plot when the USDA abandoned that station. This gentleman also hybridizes him self. The late Dr. Nagel in this area is responsible for creating (discovering) a seedless kumquat named after him and sold by a local vendor. Yadda out.

Treesearch farm in Houston had at one time the darlene satsuma. At one time back in the 80s I budded quite a few for them.

Per the booklet handed out at the sale - 'Darlene' - Lareg, juicy and flavorful. Very upright growth habit, making it a good variety for urban gardens. Ripens in late November. The vendor for this sale was Tree Search Farms. Yadda out.
