since they are related, has anyone tried grafting these two together? White sapote onto citrus or vice versa? Paw Paw onto anonnas or vice versa? Some of you do some pretty serious grafting, wasn't sure if you'd tried this yet?

thanks,

Cherimoya can be grafted to Pawpaw, I've seen it done. They are both anonoaceae. But white sapote and citruses, never really heard about it, and I don't really know how related are they. Not in the same genus for sure. You can try it, who knows?

you are right Joe, they are the same family but not genus. They are definately related, the seeds look just like citrus, just larger. What type of graft do you think might work for putting white sapote onto citrus? Did the moya ever fruit on the paw paw rootsock?

thanks for your time
