It looks like /compare to citrus sp./ swinglea is doing well indoor during winter days - I mean, short days and high temperature in living room.
So, I hope it can be good rootstock for growing citrus plants indoor during winter. All of my plants on citrange or poncirus or citrumelo rootstocks, have to be in "orangery" during winter, with max. sunlight and temp. from 0 to 10 Celsius, If I want them to be in good shape in spring.
To Danero:
I took twig from rootstock of my Amoa 8 plant, I think it is citrus volkameriana, but I recently asked Italian nursery ( I bought this Amoa 8 there ) , and they said, that they usually use citrus macrophylla as rootstock for Amoa 8, so I am not sure, what it is. Time will tell.
I want to use this citrus (volkameriana) as mid-section and graft some citrus species on it later.

You should take a look at this

http://www.fshs.org/Proceedings/Password%20Protected/1957%20Vol.%2070/306-307%20%28VENNING%29.pdf

According to Florida Hort. Soc. tabog is indeed a good option but has been overgrown by the acid fruits and the sweet fruits had a different behaviour

Of course this will not stop me to get a few seeds just for trial Very Happy

Thanks for article.
According to my observation, Swinglea is the only one citrus or citrus related species, which do not stop growing during winter in my conditions, indoor. I made second attempt by grafting c. paradisi "Star Ruby" on another swinglea seedling in august. - It also looks good.

Looks good, will see how it goes through winter, right now, I keep the plant in the living room - all other citrus trees are outdoor in temperated greenhouse.
