are there wild and uncultivated forests of citrus trees somewhere in the world? some place where i could take a hike and simply pick up lemons of the trees.

There is the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary in Florida outside of Orlando -- I talked with a guy once who did some research there on citrus growing wild as an understory tree. I doubt there are lemons though.
