Yesterday, I noticed chunks taken out of my baby ponderosa's and 2 bigger ones (2-3inches) look gnawed on. I can see squirrel teeth marks. Twisted Evil Today I noticed my baby honey murcots are like sliced in half...squirrels wouldn't cut them clean in half like these. I can't find any bugs. If a squirrel went up on those branches, the branches would break. Here's a pic: the bigger ones are Pond.

the small one at left & big one at right look sliced in half!
Thanks

How is your rabbit population there? I have had the worst time with them this year. I bought several dwarf rose bushes and had them in pots around my townhouse, well that lasted 1 day and had to move them all to the deck and then I was watching out the family room window and this one rabbit was standing on its hind legs pruning my petunias that are in hanging baskets hanging from shorter shephard hooks so..... might be the culprit! Hope you catch em"

Wow Joan, thanks for that....I did see a smaller rabbit in there twice now - by the raspberries, from the window. But, could a rabbit climb into a tall 6 gal. bucket & then climb the tree? I have a rabbit fence (low) around garden to keep them out. This guy found a way in & prolly can't get out.
I never heard of rabbits climbing (???) Can they?
