Texas grapefruit, grown near the south coast, are similar in season to Florida -- late October onward. Inland, in non-commercial citrus-growing areas, it could be quite different.

Here is another example demonstrating how heat unites can change the harvest timing of citrus. By growing Wase (early) Satsumas in plastic houses in Japan, the Satsuma's fruit quality and crop yield increased, and time of harvesting advanced by about 4 mounts. Under the climatic conditions of southwestern Japan, Wase Satsuma grown outdoors flowers in April, and fruit matures in October, but when grown in plastic houses, flowering took place in late December, and fruit matured in June as the temperatures in the plastic house were maintained at 67 to 77F (20 -25C). Fertilization efficiency is quite high in plastic houses. This practice resulted in availability of the fruit right from June on wards up to February of the following year. - Millet (1,260-)
