This bug "looks" like it may be a praying mantis juvenile. Not sure since I've never seen any that small. Looks like a cross between a mantis and a crab! Actually pretty cool looking. He just hangs out and is no hurry to go anywhere when I mess around him.

Could not see, does it have compound eyes???? Did it have a triangular shaped head?????

Possibly adoloscent dead leaf mantis??????

There are over 2000 species of mantid. Front legs look to be of a mantid.

Ambush bug. Amazingly, they normally go after much larger prey such as butterflies and bees. If he continues to snatch up aphids, that will be fine by me.
