I have a Plum I grafted last spring (or spring before I can't recall right now) and the host tree fell last fall.. I proped the tree up and cut it back to just the grafted branches.. it is doing fine for now. But I would like to graft some of last years graft to a sapling plum. I did not take any bud wood as I was not sure the tree would make it through the winter with all the damage it had... Is it too late to take bud wood and graft?? I would like to bark graft as I am getting proficent at it.. would this still be a good choice if it's not too late??
Any help/ directiong to go are apreciated!!

Gina,
You can use non-dormant budwood cutting if you graft the same day. Do it in the early evening to early morning. Prepare the scion while still attached then prepare destination and cut the prepared scion and insert as quick as you can.
