Just Fruits and Exotics is close to me- I have known Brandy, the owner (and her hippie father who is now deceased) for many years. She is absolutely in love with hardy citrus and offers some unique varieties. If you are ever travelling through north Florida you will have to pay them a visit.Brandy and her staff love to share their knowledge-you can spend hours discussing citrus and other fruits with them-but please do buy something from them to compensate them for their time they are willing to spend with you.If you are too far away to visit in person then order plants from mail-they have a perfect score of 100/100 currently with the Garden Watchdog at davesgarden.com http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/1006/

On Thursday David Marshall- Horticulture County Extension Agent for Leon County Florida gave a tour of their trial garden featuring a lot of cool looking plants that could be useful in landscaping here in 8b. Brady Cowley-Gilbert the owner of Just Fruits and Exotics was there! I was excited to get to meet her again so this morning I took a trip down to the nursery to get photos of plants to use on campus,to see their new greenhouse frames that we plan on possibly using at FSU, and to buy a couple of fruit trees for myself! I bought a Ponkan and a Changshi Tangerine after getting a chance to taste both Here is a shot of the sales area, a Cara Cara Navel Orange and the tasting table (got to sample several varieties of Japanese Persimmon, some early citrus, Hardy Kiwi and IceCream Bananas today)

I dislike mail ordering plants, but once a year I'll make a road trip up to Crawfordville to buy trees from the Just Fruit folks. I've been very happy with everything I've bought from them.
