Here is the only description I can find of Iranian lemon(Houston Urban Harvest Jan 17 fruit tree sale broshure):

A very large, bumpy-skinned lemon usually weighing 2-4 pounds. Intensely fragrant flowers produce loads of these huge lemons. Self-fertile. Typical lemon flavor is excellent for juice and great for cooking. Very similar to Ponderosa lemon but more cold hardy.

The one I tasted was mild like a meyer lemon in flavor. I bought my several plants a couple years ago at a 70% off sale in at Houston Palm nursery. Mine are in pots. So far no-one has asked to buy one yet. I had two fruit but the birds pecked the other one so much it wouldn't ripen.
