Hello everyone I tough I post an update on my grafting. I only started grafting late las year with only a 30% success. I got some bud wood from Joe last year made a lot of mistakes I was lucky enough to see where I made some mistakes
from late last years budding this spring started growing Algerian Clementine now about 8" tall I took off the flowers for this year, Midnight Valencia they are only about 4-6" but robust, Bears lime are also growing fine 5-7 ", I got about 4 sprouts from one Lisbon bud about 7" tall the Lisbon is the first Tbud I did when I saw it was taking I started asking for different varieties.
This year spring I got Mandarin, Grapefruit and fuerte avocado from Phillip and I started budding immediately I got 100% take after about 6 weeks just all about started braking forced or not.
Now bark grafting I can not get the hang of it out of 7 I did only one for sure took a Prune on peach rootstock. I had some white sapote seedlings that I grafted some with cleft graft and whip and tongue non took but one that looked dead the scion was brown and wrinkled, this morning I walked out to the back yard and I saw the scion pushing out new growth. now a question, the graft is tied very tight I'm afraid that it could choke to death how soon should I untie it?
