I was wondering. My Valencia tree is blooming and has over a hundred blooms with little fruitlings. How many will drop (percentage)? I can't imagime this small tree holding ll this fruit. If it does I am going have to support it.

Here is a picture of my tree. I took it last week.

I bought this tree from Walmart in late January. It lost all but a few leaves when I took it home. With Darren's help I saved the poor thing from that place. But with in a week of getting it I had amazing new growth.

Thanks

It is normal for an orange tree to drop somewhat more than 99% of its flowers. (But a fun fact: Mango trees normaly drop about 99.9%).

Thanks. That's alot. I didn't think that it would be THAT much. So basically, I will end up (hopefully) with a handfull of oranges?

Im pretty sure ive read that your first year flowering is not guaranteed to get fruit. and, as they age, they are more likely to mature good fruit. I hope some stay on for you! good luck!
