Dwarf Brazilian in bloom.

It bloomed in near perfect timing, hoping to get ripe fruits when the first frost of the season comes.

Ice cream banana bloom coming out. See the flag leaf?

To prevent tricking your eyes, the leaves on the upper right hand of the picture is from a green-leafed Japanese Maple tree, and not from the "medicinal" type that most people knew about.

Ice cream banana is 12 ft tall at the trunk.

To prevent tricking your eyes, the leaves on the upper right hand of the picture is from a green-leafed Japanese Maple tree, and not from the "medicinal" type that most people knew about. I have to take a photo shooting up, from under the Japanese Maple.

Wow! Joe. It reminds me of the song 'bahay kubo'.
It must be real cozy to walk aroud your backyard now. Or look at the window of your addition.

Yes, that's a bonafide Bahay Kubo.

Well, I always wanted to grow and fruit together and then eat apples and bananas. They are planted on both sides of the Bahay Kubo, hope that my dream come true this fall.

Sometimes, they are as beautiful as orchids when you look them up close:

They do resemble the Ladyslipper variety. I am so excited, this Minnesota gal got to see what a banana in flower looks like close up! I am speechless to say the least! Thank you so much for all I am learning.
