Laaz,
Are you sure on that date? I want to plug it into my dayplanner and it seems a little early. The expo usually falls on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
Just wanted to check.

Actually, right after I posted this, I remembered I picked up a flyer at this year's expo:
Citrus Expo 08
November 15, 2008
Tifton, Georgia
Tifton Conference Center
Exit #64 off of Interstate 75
That is at least a start.

Looks like I'll finally be able to make one of these meetings! Tifton is only abou two hours up the road from me.
Is there any other information available yet?

A.T., I spoke with Monte Nesbit who is over the citrus and pecan program with Auburn University at the Fairhope station near Fairhope Alabama on last Thursday. He is planning on being at this years Expo and will be speaking on his experiences with Citrus there in Alabama. He told me that they have about 100+ acres of citrus in production in Alabama at present. I asked him that if possible, Id like to see and sample some of the "Chinese" satsumas that were brought to the states some years back. They have most of them planted in a trial plot at Fairhope and they are now producing fruit. Monte's presentation along with the field trials of Dr Wayne Hanna from Tifton should make for a good Expo experience. _________________ Y ORANGE U Growin Citrus
