One of the European nurseries on my 'must visit' list.
But I don't know when I'll get there.

This lemon is desribed in the citrus book published by the Italian Tintori nursery. The original of the photo you show is also in their book.
It is a mutation of the Feminello variety which was found in Sicily. The strong violet coloured shoots are reminiscent of the colouration of shoots and fruit pods of the Carob tree which also grows in Sicily. So the variety name 'Carrubaro' is Italian for Carob (Ceratonia siliqua).

Thanks Mike, very interesting variety. Does it come true from seed?

The Carub Feminello is quite common.

As you can see at the pic, the new shoots look all same as the young shoots of the Carub.

That´s all .. no more advantage .. just ornamental.

That Strawberry Orange is the speciality of this nursery and made them famous.

Unfortunatelly they only sell full trays and you must get a spedition, that brings them to you ...

Very interesting varieties. I, too, would be very interested to know if they come true from seed. I would be very interested in trying to grow both varieties.

You have no idea about austrian scientists ...

There are 2 teams in the University of Vienna and Graz who can beam every year more and more far ...

Last record: Light particles have been beamed 143 km far ...

Yes, it is still in progress ...

Next step is to create an absolute safe internet.

Far aim to send Hydrogenium and Oxigene to Spaceships, Space Stations and colonies at Moon and Mars.
