I spent a wet English winter's day doing a little research into the old citrus gardens of the Island of Pantelleria. How about building one of these in your back-yard?

Excellent innovative people! I salute their ingenuity. For us modern day people, these techniques are never economically viable, but when financial calculations won't matter to you, and there's only survival, the existence of these gardens are a marvel to behold! |

Wow, that is very interesting, and beautiful.
We have very hot and dry summers, also lots of rock. I wonder if I could build one here? My husband would probably kill me but I think the walls are quite beautiful.
