In the summer of 2002, I attempted to make some hybrids between a Pummelo and a Faustrimedin, which is itself a hybrid derived from an Australian fingerlime.

Several people on this forum have asked me to update them about the seedlings, but there was never much to report. They have just been growing slowly, with intermittent attacks from caterpillars, aphids and red mites! But this spring, one plant has decided to flower. Surprisingly, it was originally the smallest seedling, listed as #10.
The plant is now about 4ft tall. Like other Australian citrus, it has tended to form some growth low down and then send up tall shoots. The 2005 shoot, about 3ft tall, is the one flowering. The first flower is about three-quarters of an inch across (1.5cms), fragrant, and with the three petals of its Faustrimedin pollen parent. Here are some pictures:
