Hey Joan,
I can put a little smile on your face. There is a package with your name on it heading your way. Will probably be there Tuesday. If I thought about it, I would have packed some warmth and Sunshine. Cool
Later,
Darren

Thanks Darren, well over a foot now in the snow dept. and more to come on Wed to Thursday. Bah humbug!!! Sooooo greatful that its not Dec or Jan and we don't have the traditional below zero stuff coming in as an after thought. Hope Patty is OK, they had blizzard warnings for Milwaukee last night! Crying or Very sad

Thanks Joan, I'm OK. I've seen worse...more snow etc, but the winds were up to about 50mph causing big drifts. Lots of cars in ditches. Even some PLOWS & a huge bus got stuck LOL. Unfortunately, I heard 7 people died.
Calling for more snow tonight for totall of 12 - 18 inches this wkend. Last night I saw snow & marble sized hail blowing sideways!! Some melted down today & that will only freeze up with new snow covering it. Looks like alll the plows & salt trucks will be out again tonight. Thank God no power out for me.
I don't know why MKE made headlines...I'm sure it's as bad by you Joan. Guess we won't be planting tomatoes for a while!
HEY! WE NEED SUNSHINE & WARM WEATHER UP HERE.

I feel for you and Patty, we had a big blow here yesterday-- at least 50 mph winds from the south, so we were sending some hot air your way--it just must have took a detour somewhere along the way.

I was in the middle of a hunt test--on a point sticking out into a lake-- the wind was blowing me backward-- I don't think my dog could hear the whistle 20 yards away. It was nice and sunny this afternoon after the rain passed this morning.

Well it is supposed to snow here 6 to 10 inches more over the next three days, but no matter cause I got a package full of sunshine yesterday. So let it snow, I have some planting to do!!! Very Happy

YOU GROW GIRL Laughing
No sun yet, but it's just warm enough to melt big snow banks & no place for water to go. Very slushy & dirty looking. I think we are expecting more snow the next few days...at least it'll look prettier outside when it's all white.

Snow your way again tomorrow Joan -- 12 inches or so. With your 30* & our 34*, we should get rain unless Skeet didn't blow that hot air far enough north, we will get same snow as you. There is a nice batch of warm air coming up, but if it doesn't get this far north (MKE), we will also get snow.
Wonder how the goldfish are doing? Everything is covered in snow.
Blow harder Skeet! Wink

It will be blowing your way again tomorrow-- and it should be some pretty warm air-- low tonight is only 61-- high tomorrow in the mid to upper 70's. Spring is springing here--strawberries, dewberries, blueberries and maples are all blooming.

Hey, we are having fun making snowmen (GOOD PACKING)& breaking down snowblowers (I don't have one) with wet snow! Kids are having fun sledding. Not good for skiing though.
Joan, glad you have your new seeds to plant, to remind you of springtime coming soon.

Well its getting worse here by the minute, thinking they will issue a blizzard warning very soon. Our branch offices are closing at 5, of course this office will remain open at least so far. We are 24 hrs with Emergency Road Service and never close unless it gets to bad for the trucks to be on the road. Lots of business's are closing early and lots of schools including the U of M. Haven't seen it this nasty since the Halloween blizzard of several years ago. Where was this stuff in November and December and January! Its worse in southern Minnesota they have closed I35w south of Albert Lea and I 90 has some parts closed as well. THINK SPRING!!!

We only had few inches of snow this AM that turned to slush. And rain/ sleet most of today. Doesn't seem to melt the snow though.
This is nothing compaired to all the crap in southeast! Tornados killed a few people today. They are getting a ton of wind & rain with possibly more tornadoes.
Be careful driving home tonight Joan! I saw Mn on news with blizzard warnings there.

Patty, I have forgotten how many snow storms we have had here in Colorado so far this winter. I stopped posting our storms perhaps 7 or 8 snow storms ago. Here at my farm so far, our area has received 52 inches. Last night on the local news, it was reported that so far this winter Wolf Creek, Colorado as received 330 inches of snow (27-1/2 feet)

I really do feel for you folks up in Snow land.
They were talking about it on the radio today....they were not trying to make light of all that stuff going on...but they said.."Guess the Groundhog was lying through his teeth!
