With the intent to have a new cultivar named and in pursuit of the best tasting, largest fruit and least seed .....an evaluation has been in process for the last 24 months. What has taken place is that the testing has resulted in a lot of very good Paw Paw seed. Only seed that came from good tasting, large and few seeded fruit were saved. They have been stratified for 120 days in the correct moist environment at the right temperature. I have planted what I intend to plant to use for various purposes.

Now I have lots of seed that I dont want to see go to waste....Other than becoming a Johnny Paw Paw type person I would like to offer the seed to the forum members. To get seed you will need to send me a self addressed bubble envelope with the correct postage to your address on it. I shall place the seed in it and mail it to you. As I have stated they will be in a plastic zip lock in a moist envirionment. Paw Paw seed need to remain in a moist environment. Even drying out for 3 days will reduce the germination rate down to 15 % or so...........not a good rate. So pm me if you desire Louisiana Paw Paw seed that are of the best of the Paw Paw here.
Hope to have a named Paw Paw to graft to seedlings at some point. Thanks for your attention .................David

They should be good to go anywhere Paw Paw grow. That is most of the Eastern and Southern United States. They are an understory tree and they go dormant in the winter.....Should not have a problem with cold unless you are in Alaska. Some good Paw Paw grow in New Your and that area..................David
