Well, Satsumas are early and very robust, so I see his point.

Amazing harvest Stan Very Happy

By the way, I was wondering if you would accept to sell me some fresh seeds, and send them to me in France ?

Please let me know if that's the case (pm).

Best regards,

Franck Cool

I have actually sold some page mandarin trees in the past.. I have a guy about 5 miles from me that bought a tree and it has done really well. Im pretty sure he has a good crop of fruit this year. Im planning on expanding the grove with grapefruit. My plans are to graft onto Flying dragon and plant another row of them beside the satsumas. I only have one producing grapefruit tree in the grove and the old "forbidden fruit "bug keeps everybody wanting to pick my Grapefruit instead of the satsumas!

Wow, amazing, Stan. I did not realize Page would do that well in a rather chilly winter area. So, what variety of grapefruit are you considering? Do you have access to Bloomsweet? I know it is very cold tolerant for a grapefruit (it is most likely the same as Kinkoji, which has satsuma in its background). They are quite delicious. They'd be a nice compliment to your satsumas!

The grapefruit I have growing is a 6 yr old Croxton pink... named after Dr Croxton from Columbia SC who grew it from seedlings.. I suspect it to be a Thompson pink Gpft. They seem to tolerate considerable cold and people seem to love the flavor! They ripen in the Oct/Nov time frame which is perfect for me. This year, the tree probably had 200 + fruit. Our local store was selling pink gpft for 1.59 each in Oct. Do the math, not a bad investment for one tree! Smile BTW, I got the budstick from Dr Croxton for the tree I have growing on a cold Jan. morning.. It was 14F that morning if I recall correctly!

Fascinating, Stan! I'd love to get some seeds from you if possible? Sounds like a wonderful and really remarkable cultivar!
