I have had one other 2 year seedling bloom out of several thousand seedlings.

Congratulations! That might be a nucellar one that forgot to reset its number of nodes or has some left-over chemical counter of nodes.

I had one do the same 3 or 4 years ago. I have grown rootstock from seed the tree produced. It will be interesting to see if it's seedlings flower early too.

I had one that bloomed from seed. The tree that bloomed grew from the seed that I received from Ned two years ago. - MIllet
