Hi,
I am new to the forum, nice place here!

the three species and Kabosu lime are my last new species that came to me. Is here anyone who grows them allready for some years and can share his experience?

Pics of the fruits would be nice!

happy growing,

Bernhard

Welcome to the forum Bernhard. Those are some very hard to find varieties. Don't know if you will find anyone with much experience with them.

Wow, thats a nice link!

Mine came from USDA California, so hopefully the same in fruit.
So I fast have to graft my new varieties on older rootstocks for fast growing Smile

Thanks, Laaz

Here is a photo of 2 types of C macroptera fruit. Plants ( mine in pots ) seem pretty similar to the C.latipes image in the above post, although the mac's petiole is far longer than the leaf. Also thorns are long, thick and potentially fatal! The fruit peel is scented, a little unusually, pulp was like milder C. hystrix.
Budded scions took off well, but seedling ( only 1 planted ) seems slow, compared to the vigorous scions.

The fruit were both more flat shaped than round, about 8cm at the widest. I think the false hystrix was supposed to be C.hystrix, so not exactly sure what it is, apart from them both being quite similar. Did you find any photos of the others ?
