At least, based on the La Nina effects. It's in the 15 day extended forecast of NOAA. Inland California can be baked into triple digits again. This will be the second heat wave.
And perfectly timed for my Beauty plums so that they can become flavorful.
This past two weeks has been cooler than usual and perfect extension of spring.
But if I remember how my hair went through the seasons with La Nina present, the weather would swing back and forth. Heat Wave events followed by below normal temperatures. This back and forth pattern will persist till late summer.
So guys, you can take advantage of the June Citrus Budwood Orders. Last year was not so good because of prolonged upper 90's. This, year I am anticipating the see-saw effects of temperature, giving us chances of series of 80's as the summer highs in some weeks, perfect for T-budding or grafting summer budwood cuttings. What I am saying, there is a good opportunity to do citrus grafting sometime in the middle of summer, we'll just have to wait it out and watch the forecast closely.
The deadline for UCR CCPP screenhouse budwood orders is on June 6th, but better check the site.
