Nice plants! With the size of that greenhouse you can become a serious plant collector. _________________ --

That's an impressive looking house Hershell. Were you using it commercially at one time? You've got the space for building quite a citrus collection if you want to.

Nice pictures, enjoyed them. I notice you have a weed barrier cover on the soil surface, and the greenhouse has roll down sides. I have thought about roil down sides, but did not know how tight they are. Being in Georgia, your greenhouse is located in a much warmer climate than mine, therefore the tightness of construction is not a crucial as for a greenhouse in Colorado. My greenhouse experiences nighttime temperatures below freezing every single night from mid November until mid March, with temperatures as low as -17F. How tight is the seal between the roil down curtain and the greenhouse wall? Is there ANY outside air leak? Thanks. - Millet (1,118-) |

Courig I have Very little space left.
Alan yes this is the last left from when I was a grower. Unfortunately there is only enough space left to let the trees grow and hopefully be able to walk between them.
Thanks Lazz.
Millet the weed barrier is 6 mill black poly with ground cover on top, the ground is mounded so the poly will shed the water when I use the irrigation to heat the GH. The curtains seal relatively good at the top especially if I had used the correct extrusion but I used what I had. Also you can inflate the top and the pockets at the end of the curtains for a tight seal but hear in Georgia I dont need it. I did have the top inflated but I only put one layer on this time. _________________ Hershell

With the citrus greening problem we might all have to grow citrus in green house even in south Florida! Congratulations, now you can keep your citrus safe from those dangerous asian citrus psyllids! |

Not according to the experts in the fl. dept of ag.
You need a positive pressure house with a double entrance / exit way |
