I have a Valencia orange and I am told that it is an excellent juicing orange. I am looking for an excellent eating orange. I like sweet and juicy. Your opinions for an excellent eating orange would be appreciated. I am going to be placing an order for a Satsuma Mandarin at briteleaf.com and would like to order an orange tree at the same time.

Thank you.

Red Navel (Cara Cara) and Hamlin are very good eating oranges.

Although it is not a true orange as it has been Hybridized with a tangerine and it would be the Temple Orange or Royal Mandarin ( I believe they are the same please correct if I'm wrong) and is called a Tangor, (Tang)erine
and (Or)ange. I find it very rich flavour but I'm not sure how it grows in different places. Also Blood Oranges are some of my favorite to eat out of hand.

There are so many great oranges. Mine would be CaraCara (which is a red Navel Orange) and Page. Page is concidered to be the best tasteing orange of them all. Page never made it as a commerical orange because the size of the fruit was considered to small, however if is about the size of a Clementine. Clementine could currently be the largest out of hand selling mandarin in supermarkets at this time, an extremely popular "orange". Due to Clementines popularity a lot of California growers are planting thousands of Clementine trees, to compete with the many other regions of the world presently exporting Clementines into the USA. - Millet
