Hello Citrus Friends... Very Happy

Let me tell you about a great experience I had.
A few weeks ago I had ordered from another nursery in
California a Calamodin Orange Tree ( Cost $36.00 ) We'll
they kept giving me excuses for three weeks , when I did
receive the tree it was only 10" tall. And if I had been
patient I could have bought one at my own nursery 5 Gallon
for $44- ( it was all in flower and fruit , just liike I wanted. I
was on cloud 9 .... Very Happy Just before this happened I ordered
the same tree ( Calamodin Orange ) from another nursery
in California " Clifton's Nursery " They called me the next day
and stated they didn't have it but would I accept a Dancy
Manadrin Tree. We'll Today I was in a state of shock it arrived
it was 3 feet tall and loaded with flowers not only that I paid the
same price as the first nursery in California....Clifton's Nursery
will be my Citrus Nursery from now on , I e mailed them and let
them know I was very happy ....Here's their web site...

Yes, Dancy is a somewhat smaller mandarin, very sweet and produces a handsome looking tree. Can be alternate bearing. Well worth growing. - Millet

Hi Everyone.... Very Happy

If anyone is ineterested in ordering Citrus Trees,
I highly recommend Clifton's Nursery , they ship
the trees in their own pots with the soil they grow in
and it does arrive in one piece by Fed Ex , I ordered
a Dancy Mandarin and it's three feet tall , full of
flowers and if they are out of a certain type they will
call you and ask which one would you like, I do
appreciate their service , I plan on ordering more.

Actually, when I receive small nursery citrus trees that already contain blooms or fruit, I completely remove them. Further, I generally continue to remove all blooms for a couple more years. This is to concentrate all of the energy produced by the young tree into growth, rather than fruit. Fruit produced in the first three or four years by a citrus tree is inferior anyway. This greatly benefits the tree in the long run. - Millet

You make a very good point... I myself
grow my citrus indoors , first because it get's very windy here
in Santa FE , NM in April- May . Second I don't want my plants
to get bugs....
