Bought some small trees before last winter, also got some FD seeds from a generous friend here- everything made it through the winter except a few store citrus seedlings. (i also got some neat seeds from another friend, and they didnt make it Crying or Very sad

Bought a Meiwa this spring, a Pummelo, thai lime, and calamondin. Ive had a few flushes on my Meiwa, its holding about 12 fruits, my Gurney's meyer lemon that didnt look like it would live is just fine and has kept 2 fruits this year, my key lime from seed is about 18" tall and branching, my thai is much bigger and has yielded one sucessful cutting so far. ive also got a Yuzu that has made it to about 12 leaves tall- those are SLOW growing!

With the info Millet posted about shade, they might live under the dappled sunlight of tree branches next year, or maybe under shade cloth with my peppers- havent made a firm determination yet.

Jerry wont recharge the camera, (and hes got the adapter) so pics will have to wait Crying or Very sad

Garnet, glad your meiwa is doing so good - & with 12 fruits on! Early this year I almost lost mine...had to cut it back to a stub. It's now doing good.
This is my best summer for growing. I did something right LOL
Here's a pic of lemon guava when I bought them last winter - only 6-7 inches tall.

This was taken in June

Pic taken today, they are 15 inches tall, bushier, & greener.

Here's a pic of my ruby guava now. It lost all leaves by spring & I thought it would die. This is all new growth ... has 4 baby fruits on!

Now, if I can just keep them healthy during winter!
What did Millet say about shade? I missed it somehow. Can you tell me, or tell me where to find the post? Thanks

Thanks Benny, I didn't know what to use. Millet said to fert about every week - maybe half strength, & give the leaves a shower often. I fert w/ all purpose 24-8-16.. same as for the citrus about every 2 weeks, but will slow down on some because winter's coming. I don't know if should slow down with the guava though since the big one has 4 little fruits on Question
