The two red squares indicate the total surface area that would be required, utilizing solar thermal energy technology, to provide all of the electric power needs for the entire European Union. The larger square would sustain the entire world. The fussion nuclear reactor and the fuel to run it is abundant, eternally free and a safe 93 million miles away.

But Joe, you have the world's power supply in Algeria Smile Not only are they not a stable country (civil war between 1992 and 2002), but we don't have transmission lines to the US. Then again, if you pushed the EU's power supply a little to the east, it would be in Libya. Ohh . . . I probably think of a joke or two, but I'll have either citrus growers in the EU or Libya on my back. . . . Smile
