I've used GA3 for years. Because citrus seed germinates so quickly, and at a very high percentage, I have never bothered to use GA3 for germination. I do use it to "pollinate" the citrus flowers so that the fruit will be seedless. When sprayed on citrus blooms at a 1% solution, GA3 will cause the tree to set a very heavy crop. It does not accelerate, or shorten, the maturity time of a juvenile citrus tree. This is because it does not produce any additional nodes, it just stretchers the length of the internode. If sprayed at a too high of a rate, it can cause a mature tree to revert of a juvenile stage. - Millet
