Yes, it was a great job. If I had my guess they got one of the hostage takers to come on board for so called negotiations so there wouldn't be as many and the navy seals swam underwater and came up beside the hostage takers boat and boom that was all she wrote.

The Navy Seals are a very special, and elite breed of people. I was in the United States Navy, and I never met, nor even ever seen, a Navy Seal during my entire enlistment. I agree with Joefrank, thank GOD for the brave men of the Navy Seals. Happy Easter Captain Phillips. - brave men indeed. - Millet (1,378-)

I like it when the good guys win in the end.

I was never in the military but did a lot of work on San Diego military bases including Naval Amphibious Base Coronado where the Seals train. Between them and the Marines, I wouldn't want meet any of them in a dark alley (or lighted alley for that matter). My office at the time overlooked our football stadium. About once a year we would see the Seals parachuting into the stadium for practice for an upcoming football game. One year one of the Seals hit a guy wire acrossed the stadium and fell after his parachute collapsed.

It took awhile for full story but, they did take one pirate onboard to negotiate. The Seals sharpshooters kept their eyes on the other 3 & noticed a gun pointed to Captains back. Looked like they would shoot so 3 seals aimed at each of pirates & shot simultaneously. All 3 were hit. I'm still waiting for more details.
Other Pirates are mad & threatening to hijack even more and THEY ARE as I write this. They cannot put enough security out there.
Only thing that works so far is some ships put barbed wire around stern & sides so pirates can't climb aboard.
There are over 200 (400?) from other ships held hostage right now.
Isn't it funny that our ship was bringing food to Samolia!!? Maybe they won't get anymore.

The fourth pirate should have gotten a new pair of concrete shoes & kicked back off the boat no questions asked...

I also do not think most people understand how hard it must have been to take out all of those pirates in a fraction of a second if they have not seen what the lifeboat looked like that they were in! The thing looked like a damn submarine with one round opening that was about 2 feet across. Sure am glad thats OUR military!
