Joe Real recently sent me a couple of bottles of this new product. It looks promising and I am going to try it out this summer on my citrus and vegetables and see how it does.
All the info can be found here : http://www.greenerearthtech.com/cmsmain/

Thanks Laaz!
The website don't have a lot of detailed information yet, relatively new, we just launched our main operations last March 1, 2009. The benefits observed by our users are too good to be true or bordering on the unbelievable that you would doubt that it really works. But the best way to find out is to test it yourself and observe if it will work in your case.
I can't believe that something unexpected from nature, a plant based product has so many wonderful properties that it can beat a lot of the existing synthesized products in the market. The clean looking fruits from my citruses, many of my friends think that I've been using heavy chemicals on those, but they're pesticide-free.
As much as I'd like to give each one of you free bottles of the product for testing, it would quickly bankrupt our company, just for the shipping and base material costs alone. Our material costs is also very pricey. But I am willing to give members of this forum some steep discount when they buy the product.
The product is non-toxic, has no synthetic chemicals and is made from plant extracts of Melaleuca (Tea Tree), Aloe vera, and Citrus Peels. We extracted just 1 lb of the material from 20 lbs of Aloe vera, extracting its edible gel from the core of the leaves. We extracted oil from Melaleuca and you know how much to cost of Melaleuca oil nowadays. We then combine it with Di-limonene oil extracted from Citrus peels and leaves using a patented process and refined the final product for 100% water solubility with excellent sticker and plant absorption properties using the best cGMP and ISO-9001 manufacturing facility. It is the proprietary process that we used to bring about the synergestic effects of these main ingredients that give AZ41 its many combined beneficial properties. And here are the summarized properties we have observed and those of the users of AZ41:
· Safe, Natural, Non-toxic fertilizer supplement and bio-stimulant. Contains macro & micronutrients, vitamins and growth regulators.
· Improves Fertilizer Use Efficiency of your current nutritional program by enhancing root growth and improving the health of plants.
· Natural insecticidal properties that kill insect pests on contact, and can reduce or eliminate use of dangerous and unhealthy insecticides, protecting the growers or workers and the consumers. Proper timing and schedule of application can be effective against white flies, aphids, thrips, mites, mealy bugs, psyllids, scales and other insect pests.
· Natural specific fungicidal properties that can control powdery mildew, Phytophthora root rot, Heart rot, Bunch Rot, and Sigatoka, thus eliminating the need to use expensive or toxic fungicides to control these crop diseases.
· Effectively reduces population of parasitic nematodes, creating better root system, eliminating the need to use expensive and often toxic nematicidal chemicals.
· Systemic properties that when applied on the leaves, it is translocated to other plant parts including the roots. AZ41 also imparts Systemic-Acquired Resistance that boosts the plants immunity to infestations and diseases through continued application during the growing season.
· 100% Natural and renewable materials extracted from plants. No synthetic chemicals. Sustainable, very biodegradable, and helps prevent leaching. No water contamination and safe to the ecological environment.
· Has excellent sticker property because of its natural surfactants and can be used with other foliar nutrients. Readily absorbed by the plants, even just a couple of hours before a heavy rain. Can be used right after the rains.
· Aromatic scented and very pleasant to apply, no protective suits needed, leaves no toxic residue.
· AZ41 is also an excellent fruit and leaf cleaner, producing clean, blemish-free appealing crops.
Greener Earth Tech, Inc., sells AZ41 to the entire world excepting only the Philippines. AZ41 is being sold by Universal Harvest Corporation in the Philippines. Leading Agricultural Multinational companies that have crop plantations in the Philippines and Australia are one of the many repeat customers and current users of our product. They use AZ41 in both organic and conventional farming.
AZ41 is manufactured in Texas since year 2000. It has been heavily tested in the Philippines where there's constant year-round insect and disease pressures. If it works there, then it should work better elsewhere. It has been tested in the Central Valley of California since 2004, primarily by raisin grape farmers and vegetable growers. We are wrapping up tests in Ecuador and Mexico and many farmers have placed orders after the trials. In the USA we have current tests running on Blueberry farmers, Grape Wine Growers, Citrus Farmers, Strawberry farmers, carrot farmers, also nursery growers.
It is hard work marketing the product, there are too many barriers to overcome, so would appreciate any help we can get. Our main market is the agricultural crop growers but I have convinced the board to share the excellent results to fellow hobbyists. We will soon be tapping the market for greenhouse growers and cut-flower industry. We are marketing low profile and have negligible market share to be a bother to our chemical competitors. |

I am looking foreward to trying it. I have what looks like the best citrus crop I could hope for at this point. I just hope we don't have any hurricanes--AZ41 probably wouldn't help much there! _________________ Skeet

It is already up for ordering via our store at http://www.greenerearthtech.com/cmsmain/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=1&Itemid=76
For those with big backyards and commercial growers, we sell the big 2-liter bottles (super concentrate to minimize shipping costs) at $49.95 plus shipping and insurance. We can pack 4 big bottles unto one flat rate box USPS priority mail for the same shipping cost. One up to 4 bottles has the same shipping cost.
For the backyard growers, a couple of bottles is enough for the whole year, but depends on your insect and disease pressure, also number of plants. We sell the 8-oz bottle at $10 each plus shipping and insurance. We can pack 2 bottles unto a small flat rate box, so one or two bottles have the same shipping cost.
Fellow citrus forum members can PM me if you want to avail of my personal discount. And I will send specific instructions on how to use it effectively on your citruses, from a hobbyist point of view. |

Another beneficial effect that I discovered is that it really made the rinds of my kumquats and Indio Mandarinquats a lot sweeter! I asked our company botanist why and he answered that it is due to the acetylated mannans and other polysacchrides that made the rind sweeter after absorption. But I had tried this only once so far, so would need to verify this some more.
Grape growers, pineapple growers and citrus farmers have found higher sugar content of fruits, anywhere from 1/2 to 2 degrees additional brix of their AZ41 treated crops compared to their other non-treated crops. |

I can not yet attest to how well it works.. But I would like to say. Joe sent me a bottle as well.. I sprayed all of my fruiting trees outside and am VERY pleased it did not cause me to go into an asthma attack like any other product I've used.. I got brave and sprayed all of my house plants today and again no Asthma reaction..
Normally I would spray a product (wearing a gas mask) and still have asthmatic reactions unless the plant had aired out for a week or so before I got around it again..
So far I am giving it a BIG thumbs up for the fact I can spray it and don't have to con hubby into doing my dirty work..
Something is not going to work if you can't use it regularly.. and so far so good for me!!!

Benny has not chimed in yet. But he is the very first forum member to test our product. He finally got rid of his white flies and aphids in the yard after regular use of AZ41. He has told me that he tried many products before, including soap, oils, malathion, and other toxic chemicals and none of them got rid of the many bugs and powdery mildew. He now plans to have roses and tomatoes, but before AZ41, he finds growing them a waste of time because of the pests and diseases. I hope he gets online soon to tell his exact experiences. Benny has already bought 2 big bottles of the product and told me it's a lot cheaper compared to all the other chemicals he has tried but didn't work. He's going to use it regularly in all his fruit trees, ornamentals, indoor plants and his sunroom plants.
I am excited for him as he will be spraying his California Gold Bananas. I'm sure it will make the fruits yummier... After all, the biggest banana producer in the Philippines has been using AZ41 to grow specialty organic bananas and vegetables. |

Not citrus related but I'm excited to report that 266 acres in Orisi, California was approved to use AZ41 from California Certified Organic Farmers.
A VINEYARD for fresh table grape consumption. Using AZ41, the farmer has been producing blemish-free table grapes for the fresh fruit market, and the grapes has been tested to not show any pesticidal residues and the farm has passed the CCOF certification program. Imagine the savings of not having to use insecticides, nematicides and fungicides, not to mention increase yield and very clean, blemish-free certified organically grown fresh table grapes.
Our team is currently marketing to nearby farmers in he Sunview and Delano farms. |

Last weekend I sprayed the big nanna plant with AZ41 from Joe & next day I swear the leaves looked greener & shinier. And, no more aphids since I sprayed plants in the sunroom -- so far.
I think I'll spray my hair with this stuff....maybe put some in a tub to soak in. Not that I have bugs LOL, but maybe it'll shine my hair & give younger looking skin (?) just kidding:)
I was using Messenger last couple years. One dry packet to one gallon water for foliar spray. It wasn't that great & it cost about $2.50 or so per packet - for only 1 gallon mix!
From all that I read, this stuff should make a killing! Good luck Joe & thanks. _________________ Patty

Patty, Thanks!
I found that when I spray it on my roses, the aphids would jump off or fly (they have wings and are very wicked! ) And as soon as the AZ41 dries up, they're back. But then about a week later, they are signficantly lower in numbers! I used to have rose buds covered with squirmy aphids, but now, very few on the flower buds, so I don't bother to spray everytime I see them. I just spray on schedule. And not a hint of powdery mildew on my roses even after it has rained. Usually by this time, half of my roses are infected with powdery mildew! Be prepared for a fantastic display of flowers within a week or two. No blemishes from molds and powdery mildew.
But on the white flies, mealy bugs and the brown citrus scales, they're now history for me. The ant's don't bother to climb on my citruses anymore. Whatever scales or mealy bugs they place in their, it would last only until the next spray schedule. So no more sooty molds, no more messy looking fruits for me on my citruses. |

Black spot is the big culprit for roses in this area. I have a couple roses that do OK in early spring but by mid summer are fighting to keep a few leaves. I will try the AZ41 on them and let you know if it helps.
I don't normally have many pest on my citrus except for the dreaded citrus leaf miner--they have not re-appeared since the cold we had in Jan. I saw a few black aphids on my Ponkan the other day and moved a lady bug on the tree to the spot where the aphids were. Next day there was no sign of the aphids. I have lots of assasin bugs and lace wings as well. _________________ Skeet

Milk and baking soda will work. I use it on my roses throughout the growing season. |
