Hello,

I apologize if this is a dumb question so please bare with me.

I purchased a mandarin orange that has been grafted on a trifoliata rootstock. I want to grow some other citrus varieties, but I cannot find a source for either reasonably priced grafted citrus, or any rootstock for sale.

Is there any way I can propagate additional trifoliata rootstock from my current grafted orange?

Trifoliate orange seeds are on ebay.

I believe that I also saw some Flying Dragon (Trifoliate) seeds in the California Rare Fruit Gardener's seed exchange recently.

You could hope for a sucker and try air layering or a cutting from it. My trees on trifoliate have never suckered though, but I only have a few.
