I'm a bit disappointed. Last year I got Peterson's Pawpaws. Susquehanna, Shenandoah, Pa Golden and Allegheny. They were great. This year I had to buy No name wild pawpaws from Integration Acres. What a difference. They are small with a high seed to pulp ratio. It has been hard to get to pulp from the seeds. So many seeds and so little pulp. With the very large Susquehanna and the Shenandoah pawpaws you could eat a pawpaw with a spoon. These wild ones a spoon is a waste of time.
The Wild flavor isn't near any of the Peterson pawpaws. The wild ones aren't worth the trouble. Next year I will not but any pawpaws if I can't get a good named pawpaw. The year after that I should have my own fruit.
If these wild pawpaws were the best I could get I wouldnt bother growing a tree.
