Anybody growing these varieties.

The mandarins supposedly have ichangensis in their ancestry giving hardiness and edibility.

The orange gets its hardiness from being a chimera with poncirus. Fruit is reported ad being same as normal sweet orange no poncirus taint is mentioned.

I don't know how you guys do it. Reading slavic characters is like watching an Italian give directions -- it's nothing but little directional characters littered everywhere!

Maybe because I am of Slavic origin? Laughing
Slovak language is sometimes called " key to Slavic languages" so I am able to understand - not fluently speak, all slavonic languages.
And about the "azbuka" - russian letters, during socialist era it was mandatory to learn russian language in all kinds of basic and high schools here.

Wow!!
What a great resource for information on the Russian varieties available in Czech republic.Pity google translate is so literal as will have lost some things in the translation.

Already have, from Adam Bajer @ Adavo, sp urban and citrumelo batumi, had been considering ordering Atalantia and its hybid. Will definitely be doing that in spring.

Adam either does not have or is not listing the 2mandarins and the chimera with which I opened this thread. Radoslav:- do you know of any other sources that might export to UK and thanks again for the great website.

Those citruses are for sure in some Czech private collections, if Mr. Bajer from ADAVO said, that he does not have it (but I think his collection is much bigger than plants on his eshop) so you can ask Mrs. Hazmukova or for example Mr. Prouza, he also has it. His collection: http://www.citrusyprouza.estranky.cz/clanky/mandariny.html

I think, they will send you some budwood, if you ask them.

For me both of them look like some sort of satsuma hybrids, probably tangors. Contrary to what I read "Slava Mitchurina" does not have any tendency for trifoliate leaves. They were flowering for the first time this year, no fruits on Slava. Kelasurskij was in flowers very late: beginning of July, due probably to the very bad spring conditions. One fruit is formed, but still ripening in the greenhouse. I have not tested them in the open ground.
