Pat Robertson, although I have to acknowledge, does much good in this world through his ministries, is a very hard sell for me. Like all of us, I believe that he will have his reckoning with the Lord. Using his bully pulpit to say some of the things he says has probably gained the attention of the Lord. His works have as well. The Lord will deal with his heart, we have to deal with his words.
I did not yet listen to what Rush said, but based on only the summary provided in the article that you linked, I agree that all tax payers have supported Haiti. I do not think that is where it needs to end, but I believe that every taxpayer deserves recognition for the support. It is not Obama's generosity, after all. The light-skinned/dark skinned statements (I can imagine, but will listen when I have more time) are more than likely just political commentary relating the situation back to the most recent Democratic free-be's afforded Reid. Any conservative saying what he said would have been tarred and feathered. I won't say any more about that until I have listened to the actual reference.

I have to say this for what Robinson said....it is merely conjecture on his part. He does not speak for Christians as a whole. The things that spew forth from his tongue brings an unsavory image of Christians to those who are not.
At church today, I heard the stories of those who are Christians in Haiti, and have missing or dead loved ones and neighbors. How dare he lump them all into the same sack, saying "They have sold their soul to the devil". This is a false image of the God I serve. God deals with people in a "one on one" manner. For this I am grateful. I don't know the kind of God Robinson serves, and hope I never do. Who could love a God like that? I hope he finds the true God of the Bible. _________________ A small piece of land with fruit trees and a garden allows one to live as kings and queens in times of trouble. |

Rush was just echoing what Harry Reid D-Nevada said about the chances of a light & dark skin candidate running for to office of president. I remember last year when Rush Limbaugh gave $2,000,000.00 of his own money, plus the $2,100,000,00 high bid money in the auction for "Dingy" Harry Reid's letter, and gave the total money to the U.S. Scholarship Fund For Children of US Marines killed in action. He also ask Harry Reid D-Nevada to match his donation. Harry Reid dug deep into his pockets and gave zero (0) dollars. Pat Robertson needs to learn to control his speech. - Millet (1,094-) |

Although I have no idea what all that had to do with the subject I will say that it is ridiculous to criticize Harry Reid for not donating to charity because Rush was going to. That would be like me donating 2 million dollars to some charity and then asking you to and criticizing you if you don't donate. Makes no sense to me. Where was Rush when Harry was donating 100% of his book http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sen-harry-reid/the-good-fight_b_99228.html sales to charity? |
