Millet
That green house sounds like a tropical oasis and reliable with all of the back ups. We did not make the Expo since I was short on vacation for this year. We have vacationed for the last four years in Colorado. We visited the Fourteeners area this last February. The banana belt is beautiful but not much snow.
When I retire in about 16 months we will have plenty of time for expos.

Our FIFTH snow storm arrived this morning. We are predicted to receive between 20 to 30 inches of snow out of this storm. Visibility at present is not more than 125 feet at best. With a hard north wind the flakes that are falling from the clouds over Wyoming are landing in my yard in Colorado - LOL. My wife is going to spend the day cooking Christmas cookies and fudge (a good activity for a nice day like this). I am going to make my way out to the greenhouse and set under my banana tree and read the paper. My wife tells me to tie a rope from the greenhouse to the barn and then from the barn up to the house, in order to find my way back as the snow and especially the wind ( now 45 MPH) is predicted to gain in strength throughout today and tomorrow. The Interstate and local highways are closed, so this would not be a good time to have a medical emergency. - Millet

WOW!!! and we are getting rain rain rain and uhhh rain..
I remember driving La Veta pass followed by a small pickup truck and a semi behind them and they closed the road behind us.. no way to stop and change drivers (would have much rather hubby drove) and we crept along and PLOWED the way with our Mazda 626 (been a few years) Few times I could just barely see past the headlights of the car and worried if we were still on the road.. I don't know how long it took but I know it was MUCH longer than it should have been and my knuckles were white by the time we got in to Walsenburg... I think sitting under a Banana reading a paper would have been much better way to spend the time.. LOL
I second your Mrs. advice.. I'd rather hang out with the Mrs. and do quality control (AKA sample it ALL).. Very Happy
Stay safe and warm hon!!

24 inches of snow yesterday, lots of wind driven drifts up to 7 foot. Snow to continue throughout today. Should wind up getting somewhere around 30 inches, by tonight. 4,500 people stranded at Denver International's "All Weather Airport." - Millet

Denver snow is top news. People stranded at several airports because of it. We have rain & fog...cloudy & ugly out.
How's the plowing service by you Millet? Are the roads cleared? Hope you're stocked up with groceries etc.
