Hi Laaz, Nice looking trees, as are all of your citrus. However, I would not call that an upright growth pattern. I bet your trees will also develop the typical Satsuma drooping pattern as they grow on. - MIllet

Hi Millet. That is wat I was refering to. It has branches drooping down to the ground. All Satsumas have a drooping habit. From my experience the Kimbrough is a little more upright, but still droops...

Sorry Laaz, I misunderstood your post. I think the most upright growing trees that I have, at least so far, (although they are not Satsumas) are the Pong Koa Mandarin, and the BC-2 Mandarin. They are reaching straight for Heaven. How is your Pong Koa growing? Both of our Pong Koa trees are still young, in fact they are both the same age, so time will tell. I did have some fruit set on the Pong Koa this year. My BC-2 can't wait for his brother BC-1 tree to arrive. Millet

Hi Millet. For mandarins I think my Ponkan is about the most upright tree I have. The Pong Koa is doing great, I planted it out next to the deck. I has about 30 small fruitlets on it. I'll try to get a photo tomorrow.

If your BC2 is big enough to take some budwood from I would be greatful Wink . Bonnie does not have this variety anymore. Crying or Very sad

Laaz, yes the BC-2 is large enough. Sorry, I thought you already had a BC-2, or I would have offered you some bud wood. I'll send you a cutting. I sent one to Gina a month ago. I wonder how it is doing? - Millet
