Hi all.

I recently purchased what i thought to be a lime tree online. what the stupid place actually sent were lime leaves! grrr! i have enclosed a pic. is there anything at all i can do with them? i read somewhere about using them as cuttings but im not sure how effective it would be or what the outcome would be. any suggestions please let me know Smile

thank you!

dan

Looks like you ended up with Kaffir lime leaves. I think your best bet is to use them for cooking. You may be able to get a leaf to root but apparently it will never grow a stem.

Kaffir leaves will root, the rooted leaf will never advance any further than that. - Millet

IF there were a bud attached to any of the leaves you might could get growth from that.. but from the looks of the leaf you have pictured no bud there.. I doubt they would cut the bud off to send you..
I had cut some leaves off but included bud and small amount of stem that had sprouted little trees... none of the leaves that had no bud sprouted trees.. roots yes.. but no trees..
so carefully look through your leaves for any with buds.. if no buds then probably a waste of time and supplies..
Sorry it wasn't a tree you got.. I've bought stuff on line and found out not what I was wanting.. it can be frustrating..

Good luck!!!
