This year, we have prolonged rains that very few apricots managed to produce some crops. I am amazed by the Harcot Apricot that produced some tasty fruits first time ever. I have severe twig blight and brown rot and yet, they produced and starting to ripen, and birds began pecking on them.

If you look at closely, there are residual damages from blight and canker but then it gave me some fruits. I tasted one of the Harcot fruits, fresh off the tree, indeed, it is one of the best tasting apricots I have ever tasted, tasted like a hybrid between a yellow nectarine and apricot, and it is cling free.

Me too.
I also found out that apricot is the easiest one to graft.

Sure will do this coming CRFG scionwood exchange.

My wife changed her opinions about apricots after she tasted a ripe Harcot off the tree. It tastes as good as yellow nectarines with the texture of apricot and aftertaste of apricots.

Really changed my opinions of apricots too. The previous ones I've tasted from our Farmer's markets either tasted like sponges or molasses.

Nothing can beat a tree-ripened fruit.
I almost cut my Santa Rosa plum until I tasted its fruit from the tree.
And my wife is the one who told me this which is very unusual for her.
