I live in northern ohio, and the temps are in the 50+F range and i was wondering if i'd be safe to put some of my trees which are sadly infected with scale outside yet or if it would be too cold. I was hoping to move them outdoors to be able to spray them en masse with hort oil. and leave them outside for the summer. So would i be safe in doing so now or should i wait till i see at least 50+ at night?

Citrus trees are just fine at 50 as long as they are not in direct sun. I would put them outside in a place where they will not be exposed to direct sun until the temps are in the mid 60s. I have several key limes in containers that are doing fine in the shade.
