I have been seeing bags of "small" grapefruits marketed by Tropicana sold in super markets in my location. I tried some of these and they are inferior for flavor and juiciness. They are the size of an orange with red interior fruit. They are not being sold as Ruby Red variety. Is Florida shipping poorer quality fruit because of all their disease problems?

It's way too early for red grapefruit to be good quality.

Grapefruit are not at their best until February, or better yet even March. - Millet
