I got pictures of a very big lime, called cauterize lime, an old variety and very seldom, used in Kambodscha to preserve fish and meat.
here some pics:
It is a very near relative to the Thai lime, a flat lime type looking like a small grapefruit. both have much more segments as normal lime has!

cut of cauterize lime

left thai lime, right cauterize lime

fresh fruit

I will get some budwood next spring from Kambodscha! Very Happy

Any idea where the name "cauterize lime" originated ? Are there any other names you can track down for this variety?
