My fruit on my satsuma is starting to turn orange but it is also getting pretty soft. Is there something wrong with it?
Also my kaffir is starting to ooz sap. Is it supposed to do that? How do I know when the limes are ripe?

My understanding for limes, they are ripe when they are yellow but are often picked and used green.

I don't know much about limes, but satsumas have loose skins and can feel soft. They will get "puffy" if overripe--but for the most part, that refers to the fruit beginning to dry out. The best way to judge your satsumas is to taste them throughout the season--that way you will know when to start eating them next yr.
