The leaves on my fruit cocktail tree are turning yellow and cupping. I read that it could be due to over watering. Does this picture look like it might be?

Also, you can see the results of my massive grafting. You can see about 7 of them here. Could that cause the leaf problems?

Any critique on my grafting would be appreciated as well.[/img]

It seems to be the old leaves dying (of age). Nothing odd for me.

Out of the 15 grafts I have on this tree one of them has definitely sprouted (cara cara), two look to be on the verge of breaking the parafilm tape to sprout (Rangpur lime and Tarocco) and one has an unusual growth (Meyer lemon). The unusual growth appears to be a flower. Is it unusual for the first new growth on a graft to be a flower?

I'm so happy to be seeing results after about a month. I won't consider it a complete success until I get fruit but I'm thrilled nonetheless!!

It is not unusual for grafts to flower. If fruit sets, it will slow the growth of that graft, so you need to decide if you would prefer the fruit or the growth.

I agree with Sylvian, looks like old leaves getting ready to drop.

I see what you mean. I'll watch it more for a few days and if no new leaves sprout I may lop off the flower. I definitely want to look at the long term and have more branches with abundant fruit.

My tree is getting a lot of new growth. Is now a good time to graft? The temps here will be in the 80's to low 90's for the next few weeks. Is it too hot? Last week I had a graft that I did in mid June just sprout. I haven't checked for slipping of the bark. I've used the cleft technique with good results. Thanks.

I would wait until highs are in the mid 80s. With fall grafting you will have to wait until spring to force the buds.

This is the Navel branch of my tree and its turning brown. Any ideas whats going on.

I know I have leaf miner and you can see some of the evidence. I've tried spraying Spinosad but they seem to be a step ahead of me. Almost all of the new leaves have been hit and the remaining leaves are either infested or older leaves that may be near the end of their life cycle. The tree is almost bald.

I moved the tree into the shade thinking it was getting too hot during the summer when it was in the high 90's.

Any comments on what you can see and how I can help it out?
